DAHER-SOCATA reorganizes its stock with ELECTROCLASS solutions.

17 October 2018

Mr Christophe Moussière, Logistics Director for DAHER-SOCATA, a company manufacturing aircraft parts, managed the reorganization of the different warehouses for the site in Tarbes and called on ELECTROCLASS to do this to optimize storage.

Before using ELECTROCLASS, the storage system was poorly organized: DAHER-SACOTA used several warehouses, with traditional racking systems as well as manual storage which was difficult for staff to access.

Once all the warehouses had been consolidated into one single warehouse, a new storage solution was needed. DAHER-SOCATA called on ELECTROCLASS in 2010 to install 7 JUMPER storage towers. As they could manage over 26,000 references, these lifts enabled DAHER-SOCATA to group together their products and better manage their lead times.

"These warehouses served the production lines for manufacturing different equipment and the parts were never conveyed on time meaning employees were unable to carry out their jobs correctly and, as such, lead times were hard to comply with."

Benefits of the ELECTROCLASS solution for DAHER-SOCATA:

  • A 1,000 m² warehouse set up
  • 26,000 references managed
  • Services better organized
  • A time gain
  • Work ergonomics for staff
  • Optimized production
  • 70% of goods are stored and operational in the towers
  • Reduced costs
  • Enhanced storage technique

"[…] Without forgetting to mention that it would be totally unthinkable to backtrack with respect to this installation which has made our way of working much easier, substantially improved our storage technique, provided our colleagues with comfort and enhanced ergonomics in their daily work and which has also led our business to save considerable time."
